Meet the Dentists

Dr. Jack DeGrado, DDS, Prosthodontist

Dr. DeGrado graduated from Columbia School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1993, then completed a residency at Manhattan VA hospital the following year. In 1996, he finished his implant fellowship at Brookdale University Hospital. Then, in 2000, his Prosthodontic residency was completed at Montefiore Medical Center. He relocated his practice from New York City to Stamford, CT in 2000 and was the founder of Stamford Dental Group, LLC. As a prosthodontist, Dr. DeGrado has advanced training and significant experience in providing lifelike replacement teeth. He holds membership in the American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontists, Connecticut State Dental Association, and  is an associate fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. DeGrado's articles on various dental implant procedures and research have been published in trade journals. Other dentists refer to the complex cases of Dr. DeGrado.

To support the community, Dr. DeGrado works with the Connecticut Mission of Mercy. He also supports the Stamford Food Bank and ARI, an organization for adults with disabilities. His private practice, Stamford Dental Group, LLC, has served Connecticut patients and dentists for nearly a decade. Dr. DeGrado knows that his passion for and dedication to his career are well worth the hard work when a patient experiences renewed confidence and quality of life after treatment.

Dr. Alexandra Raut, DMD, Prosthodontist

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Raut completed a residency at Cleveland Clinic in 1994, then finished a residency at Memorial Sloan Ketering Cancer Center in 2000. Dr. Raut’s Prosthodontic residency ended in 2003. She holds membership with the American College of Prosthodontics. As a specialist, Dr. Raut  has advanced training in a wide range of restorative procedures, including smile design, dentures, partials, and bridgework.

Dr. Murat Dogus, DMD, Prosthodontist

Dr. Dogus earned his dental degree at Stony Brook Dental School, then he underwent postgraduate training in dental implant procedures at Jestus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. Back in the states, he completed his Prosthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Dogus holds membership in the American College of Prosthodontics. He continues to teach at the postgraduate department of prosthodontics at Montefiore.

Dr. Michael Doumouras, DMD

As a general dentist, Dr. Doumouras earned his degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He completed a residency and earned conscious sedation certification at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Doumouras has the training and certification to administer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and anxiolysis (oral sedative) together, which invokes a significant state of relaxation for patient comfort.
